Hey there, current and potential Marietta, GA branch members! My name is WiseWithWorms, and I am the Regional Manager of Marietta, GA.

UPDATE 2/5/09: Our branch business practices were recently endorsed by Michael Scott
of the infamous Scranton branch... on tonight's episode, he mentioned our 11 business herbs and
spices -- a direct reference to the Marietta branch! So, come on over to an awesome branch
endorsed by the best!

A little background on myself... I'm a DMI 1.0 and RM veteran (Columbus, downsized due to size), and transferred to be RM of Marietta at the beginning of 2.0. I love The Office and DMI and am on the site at least once a day, usually several, checking up on my employees and posting in the forums.

I'm somewhat hands-off when it comes to Regional Managing... I love employee involvement, but I understand that people have RL jobs outside of DMI and therefore I won't get down your throat for missing a week. However, I do expect my employees to log in as often as they can and stay active both through tasks and on the forums. That's part of the fun of the game, and when someone doesn't participate then what's the point of joining in the first place, right?

I try to get feedback for group tasks and activities, and I am good at organizing and delegating... If you join Marietta, I want you to feel at home and to know that we need each and every member participating to make a truly great team!

So, there's my honest pitch. I'm not going to promise a million "parties" and gatherings (but there will be a few really good ones! lol), but I will promise to do my best to make this game fun and fair for everyone in my branch! I stand up for my employees to corporate and I am always here to lend a helping hand or an ear (eye) to listen (read).

For more information on Marietta, please visit our website at http://www.dmimarietta.com

Thanks for stopping by my little table in this sea of recruiting threads!

P.S. - Do a Google search for "Big Chicken" - you'll see why we're the obvious choice! LOL

Yeah, there are a lot of people that were on here in the beginning that are no longer to be seen or heard from on DMI. Boo! But glad to see that you're here again!

LOL @ Dgwife.

Marietta is the best. It's so much easier to be involved when you have a great RM that is involved, too. We've been having lots of great conversation already and I'm very very excited for 2.0.

Oh, and by the way, I feel like chicken tonight, too. I wasn't before I saw that chicken.. maybe I'll drive allll the way out there to get me some.

Mmm, chicken! Sounds like a great idea. :-) However, I will have to forego Marietta's famous landmark and head to my local KFC. One day, though, I'll make it over there. Maybe our awesome RM will let us have a Meet and Greet at The Big Chicken!

I'm a brand-new hire at DMI, but I look forward to learning all about this company, and especially about Marietta branch. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Oooh, a Meet and Greet with a bunch of fun and crazy people I've never met? Sounds like a blast. LOL.

*tapping foot impatiently* I can't WAIT for the new episodes. Have you read the synopsis of the first episode? It's called Weight Loss, I think..

I can't wait either! Only two more weeks. I've read a little bit about the episode, and you're right, Weight Loss is the current title. I also understand that we'll see what happened over the summer. Should be interesting -- and hilarious!

So you were a DMI employee last year, right? Can you give this newbie a brief rundown on what to expect once the games begin? :-)

Thanks!

what to expect... let's see here... a task every week that relates to the show (comes out every thursday evening after the episode airs), sometimes it's a group task and sometimes it's individual. lots of fun in the forums hanging out -- you can see both in our marietta forum and in the main forums people love to start games and "pick your favorites" threads. i also come straight to the forums after every show to talk about it with people who actually love the office! lol... non of my friends or family get me and my obsession. for most of the tasks there is actually a real life prize if you're the top overall winner, which i think is really awesome! the more SchruteBucks you earn, the more promotions you get within the company AND the more stuff you can buy for your virtual desk. i think this year you'll be able to sell stuff back also if it gets too crowded

what do you think hearttwozero -- did i hit all the bases? i feel like i'm forgetting something...

My friends and family dont get it either, I dont have one single RL friend on here. I tell my customers that rent episodes about DMI and they look at me like I am completely nuts.
What you left out was the Big chicken!

So do we get a Big Chicken replica for our desks? :-) I'd spend a few hard-earned Sbs on that!

Thanks, Wise. This helps a lot!

So two weeks from tonight, we'll get our first task, right? Any thoughts on what it might be?
