Now that I have crossed the 2000 Sb mark, I am wondering which branch to choose. A while ago I thought I saw listings of which branches were winning the tasks, but I can't find anything like that now. On the recruitment thread the Clearwater branch seems great, but I hesitate to join such a big branch. I also can't seem to figure out how to "PM" the branch managers and find out more about the branches.

Pixie,
Check out the branch recruitment forum to get a better idea about what branches have to offer. You can ask questions in them and I'm sure the RM or employees will answer for you:

The listing of branch task winners isn't up yet, that would be the stats. Though you can look through task threads to find out.
As for the question about big branches, there are both big and small that have their benefits, it just depends what you're looking for.
If you know the RM's name of the branch, you can to go members list and search for them.

Clicking on their name will give you an option to PM them. You can also leave them a comment on their profile.
Good luck!

Thanks for the reply, especially the link to the member list. I don't think I would have seen that page from the main menus. It doesn't make sense not to have the send a message option available when you click on a person's name in the forums or on their page.
As for the "big" branches, I was in a big one before, and felt I was posting into a black hole. Also, no matter how much I participated, I never won a branch task or got employee of the week (do the RMs choose the employees? If so, they should post their criteria), so that wasn't fun either (odds decrease as branch size increases). Needless to say that is why I am looking for another branch this time around.
Of course I have read the recruitment posts, but I didn't particularly feel like posting that story in the recruitment forum.

For future reference, from the main board index you can easily click members list on the bottom right. It's labeled, "Overall Top 20 Posters".
Well, the bigger the branch the harder it is to win a task, that's no lie, but there is usually more to do and more people to talk to. As for EOTW, yes RMs choose that. It depends on what they're looking for in an Employee of the Week. Usually they choose based off of participation, but sometimes RMs will have the actual employees vote for the EOTW and EOTM.
Best of luck in your search and definitely contact some RMs. They'll give you the low-down on their branches, I'm sure.

Ditto to what Jade has posted. The value of the Branch Recruitment thread is you hopefully get a feeling for the branch "personality". But also just checking out the profiles of branch members as well.
Different RMs select EOTM/EOTW in different ways. Sometimes there are nominations and voting by employees in the branch forums. Sometimes it's just by the RM whim. Typically it's for rewarding activity, contributions, jobs well done.
Some branches have social networking offsite (i.e. they do most of their communicating away from DMI boards), some branches have so many people who live near to eachother in RL that they host actual live Meet 'n Greets.
Bigger branches means you may start out as a small fish in a big pond, but size doesn't always indicate activity within the branch forum. Smaller branches may give you a greater opportunity to really stand out and be recognized.
How about following people you've seen in the Corporate forums? How they post out here may be an indication of what life might be like inside their own branches. Check the profile comments for these people and see what other branch employees are saying (some people like comments more than the forums).
As for past Corporate winners - last year was a different season. People were different (many previous top performers are not around this time). And last season there were winners from so many different branches - there wasn't any clear pattern (although within some branches there were consistent winners at the branch-level). The old stats pages are no longer available to illustrate.
The good thing is if you try one branch and decide it doesn't fit your personality, you can transfer. If you do transfer, highly recommend you communicate with the RM of the new branch so they know to check their pending transfer list (if it's a branch without an RM then the application is suppose to automatically be approved).
As for easy/difficulty of PMing. Yeah, we complained - you used to be able click on the person's name next to their forum post and in the drop down get that option. Now you can do it only if you first click on "Find Member's Posts" and then you get that "Message Member" option from their drop down. Hate that extra step/dunno why it got changed - OLC hasn't responded.
