I have been waiting for the option of regifting for over a year now, so I thought that if I created a poll and got 100 people to vote "Yes" for whether or not Corporate should incorporate regifting, maybe Corporate would do it!

Here's how desk items work so far:

- You can purchase Virtual Items for your Virtual Desk with your Spendable Schrutebucks.
- Some items are available only to Regional Managers.
- You can sell back Desk Items that are currently for sale in the Virtual Store for 1/5 of the Schrutebucks spent added back to your Spendable Schrutebucks.
- Once you earn $3,400 Schrutebucks in your Current Total, you can purchase items for other employees.
- Some items are not purchasable, such as Dundies and "Employee of the _____" Awards.

Regifting Pros:

- Regional Managers will be able to purchase Regional Manager exclusive items and then regift them to their employees. This would give RMs an option to give eight different items at any time to any employee who is doing well, in addition to an EOT_ Award.
- Desk items will have some type of value comparable to other items. How much would a 1.0 Dwight Bobblehead trade for? Could a Dundie or a gift package of desk items worth $1,000 Schrutebucks suffice for this trade?
- This would lead to collecting desk items, which if you have ever had the collecting itch, you understand how fun this could be.

Regifting Cons:

- Some employees or Regional Managers would abuse the system, going as far as creating clone accounts to gift themselves, sell back the items, take the money, buy RM exclusive items, and regift them only to favorite employees. After the clone account has no more Schrutebucks, they would no longer be used and if they were in a branch, could hurt Sbs/Employee ratios. However, clones would not have to join branches, and reaching $3,400 Sbs was implemented to prevent this.
- The RM exclusive items would no longer be RM exclusive items, but rather RM purchasable exclusive items. While regifting may stop the exclusivity of the RM items on desks, it will grant RMs a power to reward their employees, which while the EOT_ Awards are an excellent idea, many RMs would still like to reward more employees more frequently.
- People might become angry, depressed, or unreasonably attached to collecting these items. (I have been and currently am in this situation).

I ask that you please vote "Yes" in this poll. With the holidays coming up and the probability of no more tasks for a while, desk item collecting could be a new fun thing to do while we wait (not to mention more holiday gifting!).

Thank you!

Yes on Prop 100!

As an RM, I'd LOVE this option. Especially the idea of giving away exclusive items that can't be purchased even in Limited Edition.

Sounds like a fun idea to me! As long as "fruitcake" is never a gift item, that is ... :)

How many people do you reckon read the General Discussion forum these days? My guess would be ~50?

When there is a fight, which is usually often, I'd say more than that. Gen discussion is a hot bed for flame wars.
