Offices Should Be More Like The Scranton Office Why working in a real (non-tv) Office sucks.

I wish my office was like the Scranton, and Michael Scott was my manager. Every office I have ever worked at is boring, and the manager is like Charles Miner. I want a beach day, disco cafe...
The reminds me of the Fish Philosophy developed from the methods used at Pikes Place fish market in Seattle, WA.
What do you think?
Should offices use the fish philosophy like Michael Scott to be more productive, or, does it hurt the office and work environment?

In real life, Michael's methods would probably have gotten him fired long ago. Though The Office can be realistic in many ways, it's still a show and it's still very much a fantasy.

OK, YOU GUYS OBVIOUSLY HAVE NOT HEARD OF THE FISH PHILOSOPHY.
It's a training program that focuses on fun to get employees to be more productive.
look it up!
The FISH! philosophy is a workplace management system created by John Christensen. The system was first published as a film, with a spin-off series of books. The central concepts of the system were inspired by the observed work culture at Seattle's Pike Place Fish Market, anecdotes about which are often used as illustrations in the film and books.

We had to watch a video about FISH at my last job. My last job also had an employee that was such a Dwight, though he resembled a Jim or Ryan. He was always saying he was a professional ninja. I can just imagine him having an emergency chart with all power leading to him in his apartment, haha! I even pulled the "future faxes" prank on him from The Office, but I did it with email when he left it up one time, everyone got a kick out of that.

I'd really like to work in an office like the Dunder Mifflin Scranton office. The only office I really ever worked in was run by nuns, lol. And that was just a summer internship. I was supposed to do data entry, but I'd just sit there and read the paper all day. It was really boring.
My team has 27 World Series rings. How many does yours have?
I'm the voice inside your head you refuse to hear. I'm the face that you have to face mirrored in your stare. I'm what's left, I'm what's right, I'm the enemy. I'm the hand that will take you down bring you to your knees. So who are you?

I think that an office can be like the Scranton office if you could get a boss who is less self-unaware and had some tact and also had employees who would take things a little less serious it could happen, if you'd notice though everyone has an inner child in them and some don't let it out, especially those who work in an office there always work work work they sometime let work revolve around them instead of them revolve around work.

CNN recently reported on an alleged pandemic of depression as a result of seeing the recent blockbuster film Avatar in 3D. http://www.cnn.com/2010/SHOWBIZ/Movies/01/...lues/index.html
Upon reading this report, I immediately thought of my own similar (though not suicidal, of course) depression as a result of watching too much Office. I joined this website membership I think maybe to humor the part of me that deeply wishes I could ever be as happy in my workplace as I would be in the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin.
