Your desk and job title shouldn't change. They only change when you reach the amount of SBs it takes to become an ARM, which I think is 10,000.
ARM's do not come with a lot of power.
I believe they are allowed to pick Employee of the Week/Month, submit tasks, and approve transfers.
The only way to receive an immediate Desk/Job Title change is if you became a Regional Manager.

If you mean the desk items, well I can't even access them, they are grey to me.
For me I am an RM because I wanted to be more involved in my branch, the desk and "special things" (which I am uncertain what they are), don't actually matter to me, it is the people in the branch that I log on for each day and it is they who I want to ensure are having fun, the desk and stuff are just incidentals.

The ARM's don't have access to the RM forum or Branch Forum moderating capabilities.
Oh, I'm RM of Beaumont - Shout out to my ARM, pandj! Woot! She's awesome!

Because by the end of fourth grade, the lunch lady was actually the person I hung out with the most.

Maybe you took the position for the wrong reasons if you just wanted these extra things, I believe the ARM position to be as Bam stated - back-up to the RM if they can't get on and for support around the branch.
The ARM position has been around since DMI2 (I wasn't here for DMI1 so can't say) - this position is exactly the same as last year except they can now award EOTW / EOTM.
My ARM, the wonderful Karlajo, has been a big support to me in DMI3 especially when I went away at Christmas - I would be lost without her, thanks Karla

When I'm aftkb (last year I was "commuting from Iraq) the most-terrific Elizabeth ARM, LaurenAct513, gets everything done. Thank ghod for Lauren, else we would have missed out on the branch task this seasin.
This year they are listed in the DMI stats. They cannot put it in the profile page b/c that promotion position was set up long before the actual working job was created. FYI, the ARM can be removed by the RM (it's not guarenteed permanent).

What your RM should have told you from the get-go were the abilities you'd have as an ARM, which are very limited. But don't feel like you can't do anything, the difference between the RM abilities, and the ARM abilities is that RMs can go into the RM forum. That's all.
If you remember from 1.0 and 2.0, every employee had the opportunity to achieve the 'Assistant Regional Manager' title and the 'Assistant Regional Manager' desk. The same goes with 3.0. The Employee Manual confirms this.

I was extremely surprised when I found the private manager button and saw that there were actual abilities that came with the title.
I don't need a fancy desk or title on my profile. My wonderful co-workers know what I do. They supported bhartz's decision and some even suggested me for it.
I have to agree that it would be really helpful if we could at least be on a read only level of the managers forum so we could keep up to date on what's going on should our RMs not be available as Jade suggested.
But all in all I'm in the position to back bhartz up if he needs me and I'm still going to be there for him if he doesn't need me.
He knows where to find me. I'm the one watering the fake plants.

Oh the joys of communicating in a forum!
I would be happy if my ARM had a little something extra for stepping up.

You're right. You made a suggestion for something that maybe some of us didn't think about or weren't expecting. That doesn't make you a selfish person or mean that you don't care about your branch. You're just looking at it differently and that's okay.

Well... it's not as if she's looking out for her branch by asking for a desk...

BUT- If you are looking for a new desk/title change, I think there are 10+ branches looking for a Regional Manager.

It's awesome you are a great support for your branch. Keep it up and enjoy the fun. No need to resort to name calling.

1) Don't be rude. Someone who is or wants to be in a semi respectable and responsible position, in life, or even in this dumb place should show some form of respect to others especially when they really didn't badger you like other instances.
2) Why would a desk come with it? If you paid attention to the show, Jim never had an office, or a different desk - yet he was second in command. Why is that? He's just responsible when the actual RM is not there.
The fact that you wanted to become an ARM without knowing what you would have to do, where you would find it, and expected superficial things out of it kind of shows that you probably shouldn't be in an actual position of rank...
Also, to your previous post, your RM should have told you about being ARM. It's nothing special. Normally when they go on a leave of absence they will say "this person is in charge while I'm gone". It's nice to suggest things, but don't expect them nor attack others in defense of being told otherwise.
"I want to live on the sun"
"Sorry sir, that's not possible"
"But i want to, so buzz off"

Take it easy.
Quit looking for a free hand out.
You are currently the only ARM whining about not having a desk and title in the profile. If you haven't noticed.
