What is up with DMI this year? They are so mailing it in this year. just look at intranet page. It still has Christmas items available and lists the Macon Christmas exchange. For Goodness sake, it's Feb 2nd, get valentines items out at least.
Also, The tasks this year are simple and not as fun as last two years. If I sound like I am whining , I am. I see people dropping like flys here. Afraid that DMI has lost it's shine. Sure the diehards will say it's fine, and disagree, but I hate to see this place slowly peter out. We have two new episodes , then the Olympics begin, curious what they will do, or will it be like Christmas lull all over again? I bitch cause I care.

No news from the RM side either.

We have been trying to get a response, but have not got anything for weeks.

I disagree about the tasks though, they are basically the same as 2.0, some really simple, some really hard. Last year we had a lot more of the 50 SB submit-an-image type tasks.

if DMI ran perfectly, then i would know they were shutting it down. keep the flaws coming. what would we do if we couldn't complain about corporate?

I like the tasks this year. Voting tasks take too damn long.

One thing I can say that corporate has been consistent at is being lazy and not responding to us. Quite an accomplishment!

someone pointed out the other night that we haven't had a voting task in so long, it's almost not worth being in a branch (unless you enjoy your branch forum interaction).

Exactly, no reason to not complain about being a freelancer.....there really has only been one BRANCH task.

Yeah, and it is bound to get a bit slower in two weeks. It's ggod that many of us get good out of the forums, but as a competitive exercise, this isn;t the same, and much of that is based on the tasks the last couple of weeks mixed with the holiday and upcoming Olympics.

I agree JLH, although I find it intriguing that this thread has stayed on course and civil when others of similar nature have been witch hunts. Maybe the forum is mailing it in as well?

Has it been discussed already that the designers of this site decided to call it quits and (luckily) NBC bought it to keep it running for us? I'm not sure when that happened but maybe they are just working on getting their ducks in order.

Probably, who knows. I thought we'd at least last till 4.0, but maybe not.

Maybe I don't really want a 4.0 anyway. Last season I would've been sad if the site went under, but this season ... I've seen too many friends go to want to stick around. I stick around now purely for my branch, and the remaining close friends I have on here.

Just think... they finally fixed 2.0 after 8 months.. and then made significant changes for 3.0 that aren't fixed yet. Maybe in April everything will be working, just in time for the season finale... only to screw it all up again in September.

Being a Captain, I'm going down with the ship. I'm not going to bail out early. Or take a life boat.
