5 Creepy Ways Video Games Are Trying to Get You Addicted

I'm not saying that anything is being is being neglected in our endless quest for SBs (well nothing beside laundry, dishes, vacuuming, and the odd spreadshhet, nothing vitally important, that is) But I did have to chuckle at the odd similarity. The article links are interesting too, the one about the man who continued his quest for Everquest lvl 40 while his gf tried to seduce him, mentioned how concerned his evrqst friends became when he bagan living his rl again.

Which, incidentally, is the most addictive thing about dmi, the friendships. It is also conspicuosly absent from the list, likely because this is a legitimate draw, rather than a manufactured one, here at least, I'm not one for MMOs, unless you count LFD, and I pretty much stopped playing that one the levels had been played a few times and the skill set was matered.
